Who we are

The Storage Bunker is an independent family owned and operated self-storage facility with locations in Charlestown, MA. and Medford, MA.  Incorporated in 2002 to meet the needs of Charlestown/Boston area residents, The Storage Bunker has recently expanded to offer additional self-storage options to local residents and businesses.

Our philosophy is simple: To provide you with a neighborhood self-storage solution that is secure, clean and convenient. We have committed ourselves to providing you with a pleasant self-storage experience, and pride ourselves on customer service and satisfaction. We are proud to be a local family owned and operated business.

Peace of Mind

We offer 24 hr. surveillance, individually alarmed units, and personal key pad access. Our warehouse includes climate controlled options, a well-lit facility, plenty of free parking, and a pleasant, clean environment. We are pleased to provide 7 day a week access. We are protected with burglary, fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

Giving Back

The Storage Bunker is proud to be associated with local organizations that help better the lives of those in our community. If you would like to donate household goods or furniture in very good condition, click here for some of our favorites. If you are in need of disposal services, our office staff can make recommendations of affordable options.

Going Green

The Storage Bunker is aware of how important the effects of going green are to the environment. As a small family owned business, we are doing our part to reduce, re-use and recycle. We believe even our small part in this effort plays a big role in the overall reduction of waste in our neighborhood, and therefore our environment. We responsibly do the following in our business and office practices:

• We recycle all cardboard and cardboard boxes in our warehouse
• We recycle paper, glass and plastic
• We have installed energy efficient roofing in our Charlestown location and energy efficient lighting in both of our self storage locations
• We have an auto-bill system that eliminates the need to use excess paper in notifying customers of their accounts- we encourage our customers to help save paper
• The boxes we sell are made of post-consumer recycled materials
• We often have used boxes available at no cost in our warehouse—reduce, re-use, recycle!
